Ombudsman Appreciation Day is March 26th

During this part of the competition, the five Soldiers, one Airman, and three NCOs will evaluated on high and low crawl, sled drag, medical evaluation, 9-line medical evacuation request, M249 machine gun breakdown, and an M9 pistol and M4 carbine tactical shoot. The Competition runs from April 8-11, 2019, with the top Soldier and NCO competing in the Region 1 Competition against National Guard Troops from the six New England states and New York. Lt. Michael White, a nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s intensive care unit, uses telehealth to discuss patient statuses and recommendations with Tiffany Ingram, a nurse at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Telehealth is the use of telecommunications and information technologies to provide health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education, and health-related information across distances. White, a native of Boise, Idaho, says, “Telehealth provides us the opportunity to access those critical care resources to help mitigate staffing shortages.
