CGA Alumni Association hosts community healing event Nov. 14-15

The event creates a safe space for CGA alumni and allies to foster transparency about the ongoing response to the Fouled Anchor report and provide resources to survivors of sexual assault and harassment.

A Coast Guard Family: Three sisters follow in their father’s footsteps at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy

CGA names new director for Center for Arctic Study and Policy (CASP)

Retired Coast Guard captain, and former cutterman, takes the helm at CASP.

Retired Coast Guard Capt. Daniel C. Burbank, former NASA astronaut, is returning to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy to serve as a Professor of Practice in the Mechanical Engineering program. Burbank is one of two Coast Guard officers to have ever served as an astronaut. As a veteran of two Space Shuttle missions and one long duration mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS), he has logged a total of 188 days in space.
