Coast Guard launches EPM-2 Vacancy Dashboard

By AJ Pulkkinen, MyCG Writer

You can now find all vacancy solicitations for enlisted members on the new EPM-2 Vacancy Dashboard (CAC required). Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM) will post all off-season, critical fill, and Advance-to-Position (A2P) opportunities on the Vacancy Dashboard, a single, one-stop-shop SharePoint site.

The easy to use, centralized, and modernized Dashboard replaces the use of ALCGENLs for each off-season critical fill, and A2P opening. It eliminates the need for you to scour the message board for the individual messages, while potentially missing other pertinent information.

Now you can filter your search on the EPM-2 Vacancy Dashboard by vacancy type, rating and paygrade, and location. You can see which shopped vacancies require command endorsement, when your EResume is due, and your projected report date, if selected.

Be sure to bookmark the link and come back often to see what’s new.

EPM’s innovation is timely with the predicted increased use of A2P in assignment year (AY) 2025. After the AY25 slate is complete based on the initial cuts, EPM will use A2Ps instead of revisions to the Service Wide Exam and Master Chief Advancement Panel (MCAP) advancement lists.

A2P is an assignment and advancement process that offers active-duty enlisted members an advancement to the next higher paygrade for filling vacancies. A2P affords members increased flexibility in managing their career progression while simultaneously increasing the Coast Guard's ability to retain talent by reducing Retirements-In-Lieu of Orders (RILO), Separations-In-Lieu of Orders (SILO), and advancement opt-out decisions.

EPM welcomes all questions, concerns, and recommendations. You can reach them here.
