Join the Coast Guard Golf Team for the 2025 Armed Forces Championship

By CWO3 Kenneth Collins, Coast Guard Sports Program Manager

Join the Coast Guard Golf Team for the 2025 Armed Forces Championship! The Coast Guard Golf Team is back for its third year, and this is your chance to be part of it. Coast Guard Sports is looking for skilled golfers to represent our service in the 2025 Armed Forces Golf Championship, taking place from Feb. 18 - March 1, 2025, at Paris Island, South Carolina.

The Service Qualifier will take place Feb. 19-24, 2025, to select six men and four women to represent the Coast Guard. Participation is open to all active-duty members and reservists serving on active-duty orders. If you’ve got the skills and the drive, we want you to apply!

How to Apply:

  1. Submit the Golf Questionnaire using this form. All applicants must submit the golf questionnaire while waiting for their command endorsement. The deadline for command-endorsed applications is Jan. 10, 2025.
  2. Complete the Sports Application on the MWR site.

Once all submissions are received, the Coast Guard Sports team will review the applications, and selected participants will be invited to the Service Qualifier. Those chosen will not only represent the Coast Guard in the Armed Forces Championship but will also have the chance to earn a spot on the All-Armed Forces Golf Team, which competes internationally at the CISM Championship.

CISM is the second-largest multi-sport organization globally, just behind the International Olympic Committee, offering athletes a unique opportunity to showcase their skills on the world stage. Command support is vital for the success of our athletes. Participating in Armed Forces Sports not only brings honor to the Coast Guard but also enhances recruiting and retention efforts.

We encourage all commands to actively support members seeking to compete. If you have any questions or concerns about the application process, please reach out to CWO3 Kenneth Collins at Kenneth.Collins@uscgmwr.org.

The Community Services Command will fund travel and participation expenses for those selected to compete.

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to represent the Coast Guard! Get your applications in and start preparing for the 2025 Armed Forces Golf Championship! Follow us on Facebook & Instagram!
