Do your part by NOT taking this new Coast Guard survey

By AJ Pulkkinen, MyCG writer

This Fall the Coast Guard is launching the First Unit Arrival Survey to see how well the expectations of culture we set at accession points aligns with what new members experience in the field. All new graduates of Training Center Cape May, Coast Guard Academy, Officer Candidate School, Reserve Officer Candidate Indoctrination, and all new civilian hires will be asked to complete a short survey.

While most of you are not eligible to take the First Unit Arrival Survey, your part is paramount. We need your support to encourage all eligible members to take the survey. Your influence can be the difference between whether or not the Coast Guard gets the information needed to make key onboarding and culture strengthening improvements.

Join the Ask Me Anything (AMA) on October 9 at 12.p.m. EDT to ask your questions and learn more. Panelists for the AMA are:

  • Deputy Commandant for Operations (DCO) CMC Andrea Martynowski
  • Personnel Service Center (PSC) CMC Phil Waldron, and
  • CG Cyber Command CMC Frank Tatu.

The AMA is open to all ratings and paygrades. You can submit your questions in advance of the AMA.
