Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) announces its partnership with WIN, a leading family-building company providing comprehensive fertility benefits to members. This announcement comes in conjunction to National Infertility Awareness Week ending this weekend.

Through this initiative, CGMA and WIN aim to provide additional options and support for Coast Guard members who may be facing infertility or seeking fertility treatments. WIN’s services are donated and it’s CEO and President, Roger Sheldon, M.D., says that he understands “the challenges that military families face and are committed to supporting Coast Guard members on their journey to parenthood.”

Alena Howard, CGMA’s chief development and communications officer further explains, “Often, many families don’t know what to ask and how to pursue the services that they need. Also, military health insurance provides great care but doesn’t cover everything since fertility treatments are expensive - our partnership with WIN is a good first-step in understanding the resources needed along your journey."

Here are the services now available through WIN:

  • 24/7 clinical guidance through WIN Nurse Care Advocates
  • Reproductive behavioral support
  • Access to the WIN network of medical and pharmacy
  • On-demand clinical support and resources through the WINFamily app
  • Guided counseling on family-building options
  • Available discounts

“We are thrilled to offer WINS’s support to our Coast Guard community’s family-building aspirations,” said retired Rear Adm. Cari B. Thomas and CEO of Coast Guard Mutual Assistance. “CGMA is proud to be helping to shape a future where every Coast Guard member can confidently pursue their family dreams, knowing they have a steadfast support system behind them.”
