On February 21, President Biden signed Executive Order 14116 (Executive Order on Amending Regulations Relating to the Safeguarding of Vessels, Harbors, Ports, and Waterfront Facilities of the United States) to provide Captains of the Port (COTP) with authority to take action and address cyber threats impacting the maritime domain.
