Blanca Sanchez has been selected as the Coast Guard’s director of Civilian Human Resources, Diversity, and Leadership.
The director oversees the direction, management, planning, and administration of the Coast Guard’s service-wide civilian human resources (HR), diversity, and leadership programs. Sanchez will advise senior leadership on critical issues including civilian personnel management, diversity and inclusion, workforce planning and analysis, labor relations, and leadership development.
Sanchez brings extensive experience in HR, operations, strategic planning, and human capital management at various federal agencies including the Postal Service (USPS), the Department of the Navy (DoN), the Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Department of Health and Services (HHS). She has been honored with many personal and team awards for her contributions to the federal government.
