Military OneSource: Resources at your fingertips

By Chief Warrant Officer 4 Allyson E.T. Conroy, MyCG Staff

For the past number of years, any military member who has participated in a permanent change of station (PCS) move has used move.mil for just about everything relating to that move. Beginning Nov. 1, 2021, all sources and resources for all PCS and household goods (HHG) will be available through Military OneSource. Military OneSource will serve as the single connection point for Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) members.

As a military member if a PCS move is in your future, be sure to update your favorites folder with Military OneSource. Move.mil will no longer be updated with new content and resources.

“Military OneSource is more than just a move site,” said Capt. Thomas King, acting director of military personnel. “This is a community right at your fingertips with resources for a move, but also for members and spouses to find the resources they need during a move, resources to deal with stress, to articles that address the challenges of being a military family. We encourage all of our members to take a look at this website, see what it offers. It’ll be your source for your next PCS move, and there’s a lot of information in between.”
