Are you deployed supporting COVID-19 operations? Or on orders longer than 90 days supporting Coast Guard operations? You are invited to participate in a Yellow Ribbon Virtual Live Meeting, May 7, 2021. Families of reservists who are deployed are also encouraged to participate.
It may seem like you’ve received an email like this before. Those who are deployed should participate in the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) at a particular point during the member’s deployment.
How long have you been activated?
If you or your reservist is near the beginning or completion of orders you should to attend a live event and register for online classes.
Who is eligible for YRRP?
Those eligible for YRRP are reservists activated for periods greater than 90 days. Coast Guard YRRP supports Reserve Component readiness and resiliency, training reservists and their families to manage the stressors of long activations, educating them on changing benefits and entitlements, and connecting them to resources and their Coast Guard community over the course of their activation. Programming is designed to support member and family transitions from drilling status to active duty and back again.
YRRP is a mandatory program, established by the National Defense Authorization Act of 2008 and guided by DoDI 1342.28. We strive to ensure that service members and their families have access to information on health care, education and training opportunities, financial, and legal benefits. More program information is available at www.yellowribbon.mil.
Families of activated reservists are also encouraged to participate virtually.
