Air Force Master Sgt. Kelisha Brown and fellow Coast Guard senior enlisted leaders listen to leadership best practices as part of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers’ Academy at Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma, Sept. 4, 2014. The monthlong course, which is open to a select few senior enlisted leaders from other military services, helps prepare new Coast Guard chiefs for the increased responsibility they take on as members of the Chief Petty Officer Corps. Instruction is provided in work-life, wellness, human resource management, oral and written communications, career management, human relations and military customs and courtesies.
